Texas Compost Council Summit & Training

The Texas Compost Council Summit & Training is an annual workshop for industrial composters, which is hosted and put together by STAR’s Texas Compost Council. This is THE premier educational and networking event for industrial composters in Texas, so stay tuned for the 2016 Texas Compost Council Summit & Training with dates and details to be announced soon!

The 2015 Texas Compost Council Summit & Training took place in October in the north Texas city of Denton, with educational sessions at the Holiday Inn Conference Center. Field activities and demonstrations were held at the City of Denton Solid Waste and Recycling Department.

Activities included:

  • Engaging speakers
  • Field activities
  • Equipment demonstrations
  • Opportunities for attendees to earn TCEQ continuing education units (CEUs)

Registration fee (included lunches, breaks, and a hospitality reception) was:

  • For STAR/TCC Members – $100
  • For non-members – $150

The following CEU credits may be available:

  • SWANA Certification
    • Up to 10* Continuing Education Units
  • TCEQ – Texas Municipal Solid Waste Facility Supervisor License
    • Up to 17* Training Credit Hours
  • TCEQ – Texas Wastewater Operators License
    • Up to 17* Training Credit Hours
