Food waste is one of the largest components of the waste stream in the United States. It is estimated that less than five percent of all food waste that can be diverted from landfills is actually being diverted. Presented by David S. Yanke, Director, NewGen Strategies & Solutions, who has recently completed studies on this topic for the Houston – Galveston Area Council of Governments and the North Central Texas Council of Governments, will bring his expertise and experience to our region for this one day to help us get a handle on how we may increase food waste diversion from our area landfills.  Hope to see you there!
