The State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR) would like to invite you to “walk the halls” of the Texas State Capitol Building to educate legislators on the economic importance of increasing recycling rates in Texas on Tuesday, February 21st from noon to 4 p.m.
The day will begin with lunch and a briefing session with the rest of the afternoon spent at the Capitol. After the event, we’ll gather somewhere fun downtown to network and debrief on the day’s activities. This is not a lobbying effort nor are we advocating for a particular piece of legislation or policy.
**Please RSVP for the Legislative Day HERE by January 26th (space is limited).
Note: We will be hosting an introductory webinar with important information for the Legislative Walk the Halls Day on Monday, January 30th. Please commit to attending the webinar if possible. Registration for the webinar is available using this link.
Economic development, job creation, and resource conservation are big issues on legislator’s “to do” lists, and we want to let the decision makers know about how recycling impacts to Texas. This is a very important day for STAR and a huge opportunity for recyclers in Texas. Come tell your recycling story and the story of how recycling impacts your life and community!
