Texas Compost Council Summit & Training

The Texas Compost Council Summit & Training is an annual workshop for industrial composters, which is hosted and put together by STAR’s Texas Compost Council. This is THE premier educational and networking event for industrial composters in Texas, and you don’t want to miss it this year, September 26-28, just north of Houston in Conroe!

WHERE: This year’s Compost Summit and Training will take place in Conroe, TX with educational sessions at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center. Field activities and demonstrations will be held at Nature’s Way Resources and New Earth.

  • Equipment demonstrations
  • Opportunities for attendees to earn TCEQ continuing education units (CEUs)

Registration fee (includes lunches, breaks, & hospitality reception):

  • For STAR/TCC Members – $100
  • For non-members – $150

The following CEU credits may be available:

  • SWANA Certification
    • Up to 10* Continuing Education Units
  • TCEQ – Texas Municipal Solid Waste Facility Supervisor License
    • Up to 17* Training Credit Hours
  • TCEQ – Texas Wastewater Operators License
    • Up to 17* Training Credit Hours

Last Year:

The 2015 Texas Compost Council Summit & Training took place in October in the north Texas city of Denton, with educational sessions at the Holiday Inn Conference Center. Field activities and demonstrations were held at the City of Denton Solid Waste and Recycling Department.
