This webinar showcases best practices and real-life examples of how to run successful zero-waste events. Three different communities and one waste hauler share their experiences, advice, and best practices– which is particularly helpful as many communities are gearing up to host Earth Day events.
Donna Kliewer with the City of Allen and Robert Medigovich with Community Waste Disposal share how this partnership has helped the City of Allen achieve high diversion rates for a number of events throughout the year. Jordan Fengel with the City of Georgetown shares his experience with creating a zero waste plan for their annual Red Poppy Festival, which draws an average of 60,000 people over two days. And Amy Kirwin discusses her experience managing zero waste events within the City of San Marcos.
