Texas is a huge state! To address local and regional needs, as well as keep our members engaged, STAR's members and partners organize into Councils and Action Groups.

COUNCILS

Councils operate formally with an elected steering committee, host regular calls, make recommendations to the Board of Directors, have an operating budget, and plan out year-long events and tours. Find more information on each STAR Council below.

ACTION GROUPS

Action Groups are informal, with no regular calls or meetings, and act as channels to facilitate tours, events and meetings, and address critical problems and make recommendations when needed. Action groups may produce overview- and white page-style documents.

MISSION

Both the Councils and the Action Groups help STAR achieve its mission of advancing recycling in Texas, as our members—our so-called, "boots on the ground"—are able to collaborate and facilitate solutions locally and on specific subjects.
